Who is a nature guide?

We believe that every creature on our planet is a naturalist which means, with the right guidance, anyone can become a nature guide. At their core, a nature guide is someone who can interpret and translate the story of any natural setting they are in, showcasing the beauty of its tiniest details and magnifying the brilliance of the wider horizon.

If you feel most alive when surrounded by nature, if you want to be able to step into your garden and understand what all the sounds, colours and movements mean, if your passion is guiding but you don’t know where to start - we have a course for you.

At Nature Guides Academy, our various programs teach key combinations of natural history, wildlife storytelling and guiding skills, in a thoughtful and fun way to achieve the best balance to make you a great guide.

We develop highly employable, skilled and considerate guides who leave a positive impact on the planet and its people too.

FAQs

  • All courses with available scholarships have a specific financial aid form to be submitted. The form will be linked in the course application.

    We personally review each form and determine the grant you might will receive.

  • Minimum 10th pass. In case you do not qualify, but are still highly interested, please write to us with a special request at learn@natureguides.in

  • You can be any age from 18 years.

  • It is not mandatory to have a driving license but driving is a very useful skill for a professional nature guide.

  • Definitely. Especially if you are exploring it as a career option. Take your first step with us!

  • There's great value in becoming a student again. Revisit basics, learn about new and latest research, engage with batch mates from diverse backgrounds, improve communication skills and expand your professional community - all these will make you a better guide.
